World-Class Veterinary Ophthalmology Services in Warsaw

During each consultation, patients undergo a comprehensive ophthalmologic examination using advanced diagnostic equipment, including slit lamp biomicroscopy, tonometry, indirect ophthalmoscopy, and gonioscopy or ocular ultrasound if needed. Both the anterior and posterior segments of the eye are carefully evaluated to detect conditions such as glaucoma, hereditary eye diseases, retinal disorders, and other ocular abnormalities.

Expert Surgical Care – Cataract Surgery in Dogs and Cats in Warsaw

Advanced cataract surgery in dogs and cats is performed using phacoemulsification technique with intraocular lens implantation. This procedure restores vision and significantly improves quality of life for pets affected by lens opacities. Extensive experience also includes microsurgical procedures of the cornea and eyelids, as well as surgical treatment of complex ocular trauma.

Surgical management of glaucoma in dogs

We specialize in the surgical treatment of glaucoma in dogs and cats. Patients are offered implantation of a filtration valve or laser procedures - cyclophotocoagulation. We have Ahmed and SALVO valves available on site, which allows us to perform glaucoma surgery on an emergency (cito) basis for every glaucoma patient. This is critically important, as in cases of acute glaucoma there is only a limited time window — often just several dozen hours — to preserve visual function.

European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists Panelist, ECVO Certificates & Genetic Eye Screening

Certified eye examinations are offered in accordance with the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ECVO) hereditary eye disease screening program. An ECVO certificate is essential for breeding animals, confirming that dogs and cats have been examined for inherited ocular conditions such as progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), glaucoma risk, congenital lens defects, and other genetic eye diseases.

Compassionate & Specialized Eye Care

A wide range of ophthalmic conditions is treated — from routine eye examinations to emergency ophthalmologic interventions. Care is based on gentle handling, precise diagnostics, and individualized treatment plans. Breeders and pet owners are also supported through education, preventive eye screening, and regular follow-up examinations to ensure long-term ocular health.
